- As mentioned in the other reply, there is no UART in an Amiga, the
- serial port is driven by the custom chips/CIAs.

- Anyway, what speed are you driving the modem? I have my 28.8k being
- driven at 57000baud on my A4000 and it works fine. Also which screen
- mode are you running in? If you use a high bandwidth screen (ie DblPAL)
- you will get drop outs due to the custom processors stealing clock cycles.
